I'm in the market for a new bat. I've never owned one for myself and now being a junior in high school and starting to come into my own, I'm ready to shell out the money.
I've narrowed my list down to a few to choose from. At this point I'm kind of leaving it up to you guys to leave your feedback on pro and cons of the bats if you feel like it. The prices are based on what I've found to be the lowest prices available.
The Final Four:
- Louisville Slugger Exogrid 2008 Model $205
- Demarini CF3 2009 Model $350
- Demarini Voodoo 2009 Model $235
- Easton Stealth 2009 Model $285
I found the stealth price at a local batting cage. It's $100 below the retail which was surprising.
Oh and one more question, I've hit standard bats and composite, the composite being a stealth comp, and the mattingly beast comp. I haven't really liked them much but maybe it takes time to get used to.
But all in all, what does composite do in comparison to regular aluminum bats. More pop, more durability? I've never actually heard an answer to this question.
