Baseball Fundraisers

I am new at coaching baseball but I am looking for good fundraisers that will bring in some good money for the team. Does anyone have any good suggestions?

Tom,

You could try a Hit-a-thon. Each player on the team asks people to donate a certain amount of money for every foot they can a baseball in ten swings. Let’s say someone sponsors a player for .10 cents a foot. On the day of the hit-a-thon, the player hits ten balls and you measure the total distance of all ten hits. To keep it simple, let’s say your player has a total distance of 1,000 feet. So, that’s .10 x 1,000 = $100. If people are uneasy about sponsoring based on distance, they can also make a flat donation.

This makes for a great way to mix fundraising within a practice.
