its good as long as you do not get over the rubber with your lifted foot. otherwise you need to go either home or second base with runner on second. one trick that can fool the hitter if he knows about this and tries to steal on you, is to get your knee over the rubber but keep your foot in front. that way you can go either home or first base. jimmy key used to do that and had a great move. pettitte and kenny rogers did too. all great lefty moves.
