So today on twitter Trevor Bauer had some pretty interesting stuff to say and I was wondering what you guys thought of it.
I think he and Kyle Boddy have been in the forefront of the “spin rate/pitch development” movement and actively use high speed photography to determine spin rate. Kyle has been a huge proponent of the scientific approach to conditioning and development in the art, I think that any comments should be viewed in that light. Are they always right, no, Kyle would be the first to say that but based on what I’ve read and seen, the Stro’s have had an increase in spin rate and it would be human nature to speculate on it…pine tar? I don’t know, all kinds of media to increase grip so maybe…but concentrating on increasing spin rate can change the degree of movement though not increase the ability to locate.
