I have an impinged shoulder (aka tendonitis). Doctor said since I don’t expierence pain or discomfort while pitching I can continue and finish the season. The only symptoms I have are a stiff to the touch shoulder and some occasional tingling during rest. If I’m throwing 75-77 with tendinitis and a stiff shoulder, how hard will I be throwing when I am healthy again.
Did you see a general practitioner or an orthopedic? Not second guessing your doctor but my understanding of tendonitis is the only way to heal is to stop the activity that causes the tendonitis. Continuing the activity can lead to chronic tendonitis and/or other injury. In other words you could make a mild case of tendonitis that would take a week or two to heal something much worse. How much longer is your season & do you plan to play summer ball?
