I am a 6’3" 225 lb LHP and I have been doing a Velocity program over the past 7 weeks, specifically the Velocity+ArmCare (http://velocityplusarmcare.com) program. The program includes 2lb, 1lb, 6oz, 5oz, 4oz, and a 2oz ball that you train with. You are given 3 exercises, one where you do a full throw with the balls. The exercises are: one on your knees, one from the power position, and one where you get a running start and throw it. Each of these also has a “hold” segment, where you do the full throwing motion at full force but do not release the ball. So really there are 6 exercises. Each week has a schedule of : day one-holds and throws, day two- off, day three-holds only,day four- off, day five - holds and throws, and day 6 &7 are off. Around week 5, i was doing low rows as part of a workout with my football team when the coach was making sure I pinched my shoulder blades during the exercise. He was also my baseball coach in 7th grade, (I’m a junior now) and he said when I did the exercise he felt my throwing shoulder and shoulder blade cracking. I didn’t think much of it at the time because it is not painful. Now I feel the cracking a lot when I roll my shoulder and a littlewhen I throw. Also, when I lean my head to the right and bring it back to upright there is a small painless pop. (Remember I am a lefty) It is now week 7 of the program, and I just finished the workout with holds and throws 30 minutes ago, and underneath shoulder blade has a very small pain. I feel like I want to visit my sports Doctor, because it is only popping in my throwing shoulder, and if he doesn’t know, I my see a specialist. I could really use some help/advice. Thanks.
