Amount of weight

My 15 year old son just started your Phase 1 Weekly Workout Schedule. Does he use 5 lb weights for the exercises or does he use his max weight like you do in weight lifting?

wrist curl
wrist extension
light dumbbell exercises
lat pull downs
chest press
tricep extension
bicep curl


For the light dumbbell exercises (rotator cuff and shoulders), he should only use up to 5 lbs. He may even want to start off at 3 lbs if he hasn’t done this type of workout before. For the other exercises mentioned here, he’ll use his max weight. Max weight is the amount of weight he can do with good form for 10 reps.
