We lost a great gentleman of the game, a sprit of what the title Major Leaguer is all about. Tony Gwynn, at age 54 passed away. Tony was a master at his trade, a gentleman, a man who so many youngsters looked up to.
The likes of Tony Gwynn are hard to find today. Very hard to find.
Loved Tony Gywnn. Loved the guy. I went through some of my old baseball cards that I still have (are they worth anything?) and pulled out some of my early Tony Gwynn rookie cards, All Star cards, etc. The guy could seriously put on a hitting clinic. The game has changed a bit in the past 20 years. I’m not sure we’ll see another like Tony.
