Ok so I am a 14 y/o right handed pitcher, and I pitch in a 3/4 to overhand slot. And I don’t know if this is a good or bad thing but my 4 seam breaks like a 2 seam I don’t change anything it just move in that direction to the right. My 2 seam breakers even more but my 4 seam breaks that way also. Is this normal? Btw I am certain I have the right grip
Sounds like movement from pronation, which is a good thing. My son is 14 too but a lefty, and his four seam moves to the left (out on RHB).
Well, yes, this is something that happens to pitchers. We’ve all been there before, and the only way to fix it is to work on it. I had the same problem a few months ago, but now I can throw a straight fastball consistently for strikes. Also, it’s okay to have a fastball that does that, because if you can control it, you can really mess with a batter.
