This is my 10 year old son during one of the pitching clinic lessons recently. They’ve been focused on glove control by making sure to point his glove out to the target and bring his chest to the glove. Let me know what you think.
From the high cock position to finish, he looks great. Good control of glove side. Nice rotation around the front hip, good pronation, no arm rebound. All of this should help is arm health.
He arm action is not as fluid as I like but for 10 years old, he looks great.
Great. Thanks for the input. He really listens and tries to take what I or the instructor are trying to tell him and makes the necessary changes. Do you think he takes the ball out of the glove too early or just right? Would waiting longer to take the ball out of his glove make his arm action more fluid? With him being 10 years old, I don’t want to throw too many things at him at once.
