All this talk about blizzards and snowdrifts, not only in the Northeast but also in the Northwest and the Midwest and everywhere but here in West Central Florida, reminds me of an episode of "Hawaii Five-O"...There was a scene where Steve McGarrett was on the phone with the chief of police in Detroit, and he asked how the weather was over there. The chief replied sourly, "We just had eighteen inches of slush, and if you start telling me how nice the weather is there I'm going to hang up!" McGarrett, ever the tease, said "I won't say a word...except that the temperature here is 82 degrees and I'm looking out of my office window on a beautiful sunny day."
And here in Tampa, we've been having morning fog which burns off before noon, followed by brilliant sunshine and a few puffy clouds like blobs of whipped cream in an otherwise cloudless sky---temperatures around 77...baseball weather. No, I don't miss the snow at all.
