I have been hearing a lot about lactic acid build up in my arm due to throwing. My throwing partner tells me that I should run directly after throwing to eliminate it but my pitching coach in high school told me that i should run the day after to loosen up the muscles. I figure running every day is always a good idea but what is the best for shoulder recouperation (sp?).
do a short run and some sprints the day of a start right after throwing, and stretch it a lot...the next day go for a longer run, 30 minutes at a nice pace. Check this site for more info on that stuff...a lot of threads on pitching recovery here.
