Very good point on the abs. Now is a great time to work legs (obviously, no weight on your shoulders; e.g., squats) and to work your core. Also, you can work on your Thrower's 10 since this is your non-throwing shoulder. You'll be ahead of the game if you do this. And...you have the added benefit of resting your throwing arm for a while. Of course, don't pitch until cleared by your Doctor. The risk is that you'll cause issues with your throwing arm if you don't "trust" your glove arm.
It's all good and you'll come back strong ready to throw gas!!!!
