Just wanted to give a quick update. Mini-Mcloven just committed to an ACC school as a pitcher. Several on this board were very instrumental in helping him get this point (chief among them: LankyLefty, KyleB and BaseballThinkTank), and I thank y'all.
One word of advice to younger parents/pitchers who are starting down the road: As pitchers and parents, remember you are in charge of your career. Be skeptical, ask questions, learn, and work hard. If you don't understand, don't stop until you do. Coaches, gurus, books, videos, etc. don't get you better, They are resources. YOU get you better.
The biggest thing we've done is make a commitment to work to get a little better every day and try to learn something new each day. Every single day, no matter what is going on. Make time for it. Have goals, don't accept excuses or get distracted from your goal.
Anyway, just checking in to give an update, since I haven't for a while. Will let you know how things keep progressing.
