Ok before I get started on what I'm talking about, here are 2 things you need to know.
My baseball season finished at the end of March because I live in Florida, and you start early in Florida.
I am not playing Summer baseball this year because I am going on vacation and I have a job. But while on vacation, I'm going to be throwing bullpens, playing long toss, and running sprints.
Ok now that I got that out of the way, let me begin. I am aiming to start my offseason training next Monday (April 16th, 2007), and I wanted to ask one simple question. I was thinking of maybe getting checked out by a trainer or a doctor to see if I'm healthy enough to start a training program. Like, get my height, weight, body fat %, check my range of motion, my strength, all that jazz. Is this necessary, or should I just start training without it?
