Hey XV can you get Cole Hamels? I'm just curious because I wonder if he has any mechanical problems and such.
Sorry 'bout quality…xv won't reply to PMs.
What pitch is he throwing? That's not a changeup.
That's a curve.
Watching the game, it looks like he has a timing problem.
I can't find the other picture but when his foot planted his elbow in line with his shoulder, meaning it wasn't in the "L" position.[/img]
Hmm…he definitely isn't on his best game right now…and as much as McCarver is an idiot he does say something right - why would you throw a high fastball with 0 out and a runner on 3rd?
Yeah, I hate those games where I feel like he's going OK and he has 6 k's through 5.
It looks like his timing is off.
That's from the ESPN article about the Phils winning…
Hey, it's working for him!
I think what he's saying is that when your back leg is at the L shape you should be closer to release. But it's not big and is different supposing on the pitcher.
Yeah, sorta what jake said. I just was taught that when you plant you're arm should be in that "L" position (for lack of a better word). Actually, I don't really know how not doing that would hurt the arm or shoulder, but it's just what I thought.
It's just a still picture. How does one judge "timing" when nothing is moving, not even time. The picture represents a single moment in time. We don't know how long before release this picture was taken. We don't know what he did to get to this position and how quick or slow. We don't know what he does after this position nor how quick or slow he gets to release. Looking a still pics can mislead oneself. You don't want to be like Chris O'Leary.
